Message from the President Dear fellow residents,
As the 2025 calendar year draws to a close I would like to take this
opportunity to thank the support the Civic Trust has received from our
local community. Often it is the contentious issues that bring our
community together.
The M2 noise issue is developing into a huge project and it's good to
see the M2RAG campaign is well underway. These types of campaigns take
time to achieve results, and dealing with Transurban and the various
State Government agencies will be a huge challenge.
The key issue coming out of this campaign is not the accuracy of
measuring the level of noise but instead it is the health of residents
near the motorway. Continuing high levels of noise 24 hours a day causes
severe sleep disturbance for a significant number of our residents.
However we have in the past had many successes, like the bush
rehabilitation project behind the Cheltenham netball courts associated
with the Metro project that took four years of persistent lobbying, with
support from Hornsby Council, and also worth mentioning was the Civic
Trust's push to maintain the ramp at Beecroft station.
On behalf of the Trust I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Christmas break.

M2RAG December 2025 eNews
(By Ray Gerke
Coordinator
M2 Resident Action Group) M2RAG December 2025 enews
During our third month of operation over 100 residents have now joined
the M2RAG. We have members from most of the streets that are close
to the M2 . Almost all members experience high noise levels in
their yards and decks and about 80% of them also experience high noise
inside their houses from the M2. Many members have expressed their
feeling that the noise has got worse over the last few years.
The HUB website (for RAG members) now has links to all the newsletters for members who have joined only recently.
We postponed the M2RAG members meeting and networking event until the
new year as we are still getting new members due to the ongoing efforts
of the existing members.
We would love more people to join so if you are affected by the M2 noise
at your house and have not already registered, then you can register at
the following link. https://bcct2119.com.au/M2RAG.htm or follow this QR code The
HUB website (for RAG members) is now live with a video filmed from
